It's almost time for Easter! I wanted to make a cute card with a touch of Spring to it. The card is one-layer only, nothing is glued onto the card, except the sentiment.I like using my stamps in original ways. This card was made with Christmas stamps, the Easter egg is actually a Christmas ornament turned upside-down. The fox and the bunny came from another Christmas stamp set, and the chick is a bird from the W Plus 9 Party Animal set.
The background is a photo stamp from Darkroom Door, a scene from Central Park in New York.
First I masked off the egg and animals before I stamped the background and coloured it with Distress Ink.
Then I stamped the egg in dye ink and the critters in black Versafine and embossed with clear powder.
The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink and embossed with white powder.
